Charitable Funding directed by local retailers in their
own communities.

Retail Grocers have long known the importance of giving back
to the local community. Helping those in need is not only
the right thing to do, it is good for business. AG New England’s
Neighbor 2 Neighbor Program allows
participating retailers to double a charitable donation to
a worthy local cause of their own choosing.
Each store accrues funds for every case of Shurfine product
purchased through AG New England. Retailers then select a
worthy local cause they want to support with their own contribution;
matching dollars are drawn from the stores accrued funds.
 Since
this program began just a few short years ago, over 100 retailers
have participated and donated over $300,000 to local charitable
groups of their own choosing.

Community Connection
Employee- and company-funded charitable support.
 Every
week, AG New England employees contribute to a charitable
fund through an automatic payroll deduction program. Employee
contributions are matched by AG New England. A committee formed
of employees manages the funding of these charitable contributions,
selecting various worthwhile causes in the communities in
and around the Pembroke, New Hampshire, Distribution Center.
The generosity of AG New England’s employees reaches
out to touch the lives of those in need. But the giving doesn’t
stop there. Each year many AG New England faces can be seen
actively contributing their own time to community and charitable
organizations.
