How to Join

AG New England is at the right place at the right time. In today’s marketplace, the company is a formidable resource with serious advantages for Independent Retail Grocers. As a retailer-owned cooperative, we're uniquely positioned to provide retailers with a depth of services, products, programs, resources, opportunities and assistance unavailable from any other single source.

• Non-members

• Members

• Convenience Retailers

Not all stores are members of the cooperative. Some retailers are customers of our non-member subsidiary, AG French and Bean Company. Other independents elect to become share-holding members of AG New England, and there are many benefits to membership. Convenience retailers are typically serviced as non-members through Associated Convenience Retailers, a specialized department focused on the somewhat different needs of stores of this format.

Becoming a member is a simple process. If you're a retailer within our geographic service area, simply submit a membership application with financial information for credit approval. Once you're approved, you'll be asked to purchase one share of class A stock and begin purchasing class B stock over time until the class B stock requirement is fulfilled, as stated in our bylaws. As long as you're an active retailer, you'll retain membership in AG New England.
