Loss Prevention
|
Every retailer is keenly aware of the need to manage loss
prevention. The operation of our state-of-the-art Distribution
Center and firsthand experience with AG New England’s
corporate stores give our Loss Prevention Department valuable
expertise in loss management. We offer vulnerability audits
and proper training in areas such as monitoring damaged goods,
mis-selections, short on-loads, and the training of associates
in the installation and use of camera security systems.
From controlling lottery tickets and cigarette tax stamping
to food safety issues, terrorism concerns and security audits,
AG New England maintains excellent performance and accuracy
over security-related issues. Seminars and specialized services
are offered to retailers concerned about loss prevention.
Security and the safe handling of product, cross-contamination
prevention, and cleanliness (including the inspection of incoming
product and trailers) are all a part of AG New England’s
culture. New equipment, improved technologies, controls and
sophisticated monitoring, coordinated from the Distribution
Center, work together to achieve zero tolerance in loss management.
Police Store Watch Program
Many local police departments sponsor robbery and shoplifting
prevention and awareness programs; having participated in
such programs, we offer many helpful ideas to make stores
less inviting to crime. Most police departments will conduct
free vulnerability surveys of retail businesses that often
call attention to issues retailers may have overlooked. For
more information, contact your local police department.
